One basket, paid together

We optimize toward willingness to pay. With the money we can actually afford, we choose gifts from the most popularly ranked ones.

We will order everything, wrap it, make it look nice, and deliver it to Eric and Amanda.

Everyone who is in will be added to a Venmo group, and we will request the agreed spend there.

Couples vs singles

Everyone who chips in pays the same per share. A single is one share. A couple is two shares: twice the per-person amount.

Estimated spend is shown both ways: per person (one share) and per couple (two shares), so a household can see its number at a glance.

Why rank gifts?

Ranking tells us which gifts people actually want. We buy from the top-ranked items that still fit the pot, not from a private wishlist, and not by guessing.

How is ranking determined?

Score is upvotes minus downvotes. Gift ideas re-sort live as votes come in. If two gifts tie, the title that comes first alphabetically wins the tie.

Cards never show actual prices, only $ / $$ / $$$. There are no Buy buttons.

Do I have to chip in to vote?

No. You can vote without chipping in. Skip the money, still help pick the basket.

How does the spend cap work?

You set a max you’re comfortable spending. The group stays within the tightest caps. We never ask you for more than your max.

For a couple, that max is the household total: both shares together. The estimate per person is one share; the estimate per couple is two.

Can I opt out after I said I was in?

Yes. On the Who’s in page, step out anytime. That updates who’s in, and the estimates recalculate without you. You can come back in the same way. It is meant to feel reversible, not locked in.
